XPS ON MAC UPGRADE
I can't upgrade the RAM on the Macbook so if I did go for that choice, I'd have to be 100% committed without any doubts in my head. It's not as powerful as the XPS, but it does allow me to use apps like Logic and Final Cut (I want to start documenting my compositional processes etc and this would be a lot easier on a Mac) I can go 32gb via the Refurbished store if I wanted but it'd still be leagues ahead in terms of expense. The Macbook is obviously much better in terms of latency, but I'd only be getting a 16GB version. I like the idea of upgradability on the XPS, I can add in more RAM when I need to, and the extra storage capabilities are much more exciting for me, however in terms of QC and overall effectiveness for music production it just doesn't really feel solid for me yet. I'd be getting the i7 10875H with the RTX 2060, 16GB (for now) and 1TB SSD. If it's a consistent issue it could be a major factor in my choice.

I run all my audio via an interface anyway, so I'm not too worried currently. I'm aware the XPS has had some issues before with DPC latency, but it's not meant to be an issue on the newer lineup - if it is I'm happy to just send it back. I'm willing to make the investment, but it has to be something that will continue to be reliable, and is of good quality (hence the two options).
XPS ON MAC DRIVER
Looking for some advice, I'm after a new laptop in a few weeks time that will be my daily driver for the next 5 or so years.
